In xxxxxxx, Department of Ecology held a hearing on Amendments to Chapter 173-303 WAC. These amendments were advertised to help reduce dioxin used in fertilizer by removing an exemption on steel mill flue dust from being used infertilizer. Unfortunately, eliminating the exemption does not prohibit steel miill flue dust from being used in commercial fertilizer.
