Alternative Science: Challenging the Myths of the Scientific Establishment
Jeane Manning & Dr. Nick Begich. Earthpulse Press 1995.
Marilyn Ferguson J.P.Tarcher 1980.
As she notes in the book, the term Paradigm Shift was introduced by Thomas Kuhn, science historian and philosopher, in his 1962 book, "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions". A paradigm Shift is a distinctively new way for a society to think about reality. A valid scientific idea may exist for years, without a paradigm shift. For example, the Copernician concept. Since the 1960’s, there has been a trend to see developments in modern science as contributing to a new paradigm shift. Discoveries from many scientific areas, including brain and consciousness research, physics, molecular biology, anthropology and psychophysiology have been documented, but a clear picture of what it all means is still lacking. She speculated that a vast underground decentralized network was at work to affect a change in consciousness.
Biocircuits: Amazing New Tools For Energy Health
Leslie Patten. H.J.
Biocircuits help to balance and amplify the body's natural energy. They help to provide a strong and direct experience of life force, and serve as tools for health, personal growth, and inner exploration. Modern "biocircuits" are typically constructed from either copper or silk, and were originally developed to relieve fatigue and promote relaxation. It was found that these simple devises could also release blocked emotional energy stored in the body, and thus facilitate the kind of total energy rebalancing associated with "deep" work, such as Reichian Therapy, Rolfing, Hellerwork, and Bioenergetics.

The Body Electric: Electromagnetism and the Foundation of Life
Robert O. Becker MD, and Gary Selden. Quill Books, William Morrow and Co., Inc. 1985.
Provides a history of the battle between the proponents of the Elan Vital and Biochemical interpretation of physiological systems. Book is divided into 4 parts; Part 1 discusses studies in the regeneration of limbs in salamanders, frogs, and human beings. Parts 2 and 3 deal with bone fracture healing, new types of cancer research, and the hope of human regeneration, including heart and spinal cord. Part 4 deals with the electrical aspects of pain, healing, growth, consciousness, and the nature of life. Becker discovered a weak DC electrical current running through the sheaths of nerves. The presence of a weak negative DC electrical potential was shown essential in limb regeneration. Becker found that measurable voltage differences were associated with acupuncture points, and that electrical energy flows through the "meridians" of Chinese teaching. Tests done with the Superconducting Quantum Interference Devise (SQUID) show small AC magnetic fields associated with the heart, and DC fields associated with the brain. Becker showed that a specific DC wave configuration corresponds to every act of consciousness, emotion, and intellect.

The Cosmic Serpent
Jeremy Narby, Penguin Books, Jan 2002.
In their visions (called hallucinations by western science), which result from the ingestion of a "scientifically" prepared substance, shamans take their consciousness down to the molecular level to gain access to verifiable information about the plants in the rainforest. They gain this information from the double helix of DNA, which are perceived as huge luminous intertwined serpents. The DNA communicates via three dimensional images (essentially holographs) which are formed by coherent (laser) light from photons given off by the DNA. One anthropologist, who ingested the substance, visually experienced "hundreds of millions of years of activity -...on a scale and with a vividness imposible to describe" Notes on The Cosmic Serpent

Discovery of Magnetic Health: A Health Care
George Washnis & Richard Hricak. Nova Publishing Company,
Provides interesting information on the importance of Earth's magnetic field. Discusses the politics of the NIH and FDA regarding official acceptance of magnetotherapy, as well as the small victories: The FDA has approved use of magnetic healing devises, primarily for healing of human bone fractures that otherwise would not heal. Discusses health benefits of magnetic mattress pads. Discusses light as nutrient: "Sharks and insects, as observed by the Smithsonian Institution, obtain as much as 90% of their energy from the earth's magnetic field. Interestingly, both sharks and insects are also highly resistent to viral infections, including cancer. Faster growth of animals and plants in suitable EM environments has been demonstrated. Fish in magnitized tanks show faster growth, stouter physiques, and lower mortality rates than those in unmagnetized tanks in otherwise similar conditions. plants grow in a magnitized environment

Elemental Mind: Human Consciousness and the New Physics
Nick Herbert. Plume Penguin 1993.
Two main conjectures dominate the scientific debate on the nature of mind: 1) Mind is an "Emergent Feature" of certain complex biological systems 2) Mind is the "software" controlling the brains computer like hardware. Elemental mind explores a third hypothesis: that ... mind is a fundamental process it its own right, as widespread and deeply embedded in nature as light or electricity.

How Evidence of the Paranormal Is Bringing Science and Spirit Together
Charles Tart. New Harbinger Publications 2009
“In this book, transpersonal psychologist Charles Tart presents over fifty years of scientific research conducted at the nation’s leading universities that proves humans do have natural spiritual impulses and abilities. [The book] makes an elegant argument for the union of science and spirituality in the light of this new evidence, and explains why a truly rational viewpoint must address the reality of the spiritual world.” (From the bookjacket.)

Discusses the effects of natural and artificial lighting on human beings, animals, and plants. Light is a type of "nutrient", and affects the endocrine system. Ott found that different types of artificial lighting affect the gender and presence of fish eggs, and that specially developed strains of cancer prone mice kept under pink and white fluorescent lighting develop cancer sooner that control mice kept under natural daylight. These results were at first criticized and rejected. Finally, papers describing this research were published as part of the Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences. Since that time, study of the biological effects of lighting has become a science. Full spectrum and natural lighting has now been shown to be associated with increased productivity and improved health.

One of the first books to provide instrumented data from biofield activity. Dr. Hunt found that the human aura may respond to external stimulation before the body is aware of it. The human aura can reflect illness before it appears in the body. Aura size decreases with exposure to positive ions, and increases with exposure to negative ions. Data recordings showed that specific time domain waveforms were consistently associated with aura readers calls of specific colors: Blue, yellow, green, orange, purple, and white. A strange attractor phase plane of biofield activity is provided

The Influence of Vedic Philosophy on Nikola Tesla's Understanding of Free Energy [article] :
Nikola Tesla was impressed by Swami Vivekananda’s explanation of the Samkhya cosmogony and the theory of cycles given by the Hindus. He was particularly struck by the resemblance between the Samkhya theory of matter and energy and that of modern physics: Brahman corresponds to the Absolute; Mahat or Ishvara to primal creative energy, and Prana or Akasha correspond to energy and matter.

The author discusses the various observed mental and physical problems associated with certain positive ion bearing winds. Negative ions appear to have only beneficial effects. The effects of negative ions are destroyed by combination with particulate, and for that reason have been used in air purification systems. Ions have a number of physiological and psychological effects on living beings. Negative ions, associated with relaxation, allow us to absorb oxygen more readily, appear to promote the quality of alpha brain waves, and have been used as treatment for anxiety and fear neurosis. Positive ions are associated with increased levels of serotonin and reduced blood oxygen levels, and tend to speed up the metabolic process. Changes in the local natural electric field intensity affect hospital psychiatric admissions. The polarity of the full moon has been found to push negative ions of the ionosphere closer to the earth's surface, thus possibly accounting for greater aberrant behavior during these time periods.

According to Brad Reynolds, who has provided a book by book summary of the works of Ken Wilber, Quantum Questions: Mystical Writings of the World's Great Physicists was pieced together in late 1983. From an analysis of the writings of these physicists, Wilber concluded that "modern physics neither proves nor disproves, neither supports nor refutes, a mystical-spiritual worldview." This is because physics itself is based upon mathematics, which itself is nothing but a system of symbols. “The selections from Quantum Questions highlights this unknown fact: all these great physicists turned to mysticism for true knowledge of the world and thus became modern mystics in the process.” http://www.integralworld.net/summaries.html

Some Science Adventures with Real
William Tiller. Pavior Publishing NY 2005.
Fully describes IIEDs (intention imprinted electronic devices) and reveals ground-breaking experiments with them. It reveals the true nature of the human acupuncture meridian/chakra system and how “sacred” spaces are created. It shows that the physical vacuum is not really empty and that, under the proper conditions, our digital measurement instruments can reveal a sum of contributions from two unique levels of physical reality. It describes a (patent pending) procedure for experimentally measuring the elevated gauge symmetry level and the physical energy involved. The book describes a new energy in nature that produces very long range information entanglement and appears to be related to movement of magnetic charge in the vacuum level of reality. Summarizes findings of Conscious Acts of Creation and Science and Human Transformation

Supports the concept that higher energy bodies create the physical body, and that illness is first manifest in the subtly energy fields, which in turn cause an effect in the physical body. Affirms that healing and treatment can occur on a number of levels besides the physical. Notes on Vibrational Medicine: G:\seek5\appendix\vibrational.doc
The original was a film on mysticism and science. features Academy Award winner Marlee Matlin (Children of a Lesser God, West Wing) who finds herself in a fantastic Alice-in-Wonderland experience when her uninspired life literally begins to unravel, revealing the uncertain world of the quantum field hidden behind what we consider to be our normal, waking reality. Her story illustrates, in narrative form, the ideas woven together by a Greek chorus of top scientists, physicians, mystics, and theologians including William Tiller, Fred Alan Wolf, Amit Goswami, and Candace Pert. In documentary form they reveal that science and spirituality are not different modes of thought, but, in fact, describe the same thing.
